Subject: Thanks for another great trip (2 of them)
Benji,
You were gone before we got back from our second trip on Sunday July 20th so we did not get to tell you that it was a huge success. I know we were worried that the 2nd trip could not compare to 4 humpbacks right up at the boat but if you could have seen Trystan’s face when he saw the first breech you would have known it was well worth it. It was the same look as the first time he saw a live orca at Sea World. The mother and calf put on a great show for us. We were so glad that we went on both trips. I got some great shots and we thought you would enjoy them on our site http://flickr.com/photos/orcaworld/sets/72157606344637053/
It is funny because before we leave for home we always drive down the coast. We just sit and watch the water or go tide pooling. No matter how far the boats are out Trystan can spot his (your) boat. One of my girlfriends, who I have known since high school, is bringing her sister down in a few weeks because she has always wanted to go whale watching. She asked me which boat to go on. I told her without a doubt yours, so she is already booked. I told her to look for Trystan’s picture on the shelf and tell you hi for us if you are there.
Thank you again for such a great trip. He is still waiting to see a blue and orcas, and I am sure we will one day on your trips. Hope you enjoy the pictures. (BTW I use some of my shots as my signature at work like the examples below and many of my co-works are so jealous we saw this live)

A brief commentary included:
Even though it was an overcast day, and I was reluctant to go in such weather for fear it would be rough and i wouldn't get good photos, I enjoyed myself immensely, spending most of the way back in the bough of the boat to enjoy the exhilarating feeling of going over the swells, and to take the following pictures. It is my second trip with Monterey Whale Watching, and I hope to take many more. I find it educational, and as thrilling as any river rafting trip I have ever taken. I find it especially thrilling since I have lived in Monterey for nearly thirty years, but I was always scared to go out on the ocean in a boat. About a year ago, I decided to try to get over my fear, and took my first ride on a Princess of Monterey Boat. I was so exited, I didn't stop talking about it for weeks, and so now, I will continue to do this as a special treat for myself whenever I feel so inclined, and I will do my best to bring visitors form out of town with me to share this wonderful adventure on the sea.
Thank for your comfortable and safe feeling boats, for the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides, and for the opportunity to avail myself of a picture taking paradise alive with the pure pleasure of fun!.

Subject: Whale watching experiences
Dear Sir,
Sorry this took so long, but just wanted to let you know what a great time we had on the Princess Monterey. We were visiting from North Carolina and ended up taking three trips with your crew (2, 4 and 5 April).
I had just returned from a 4.5 month deployment overseas (retiring from the military did not change my life much) and I was looking forward to spending spring break with my family for the first time. In addition it has been a long time goal for my wife to see whales in the wild. During our three trips we saw the huge (estimated 2,000 plus) group of dolphins, a humpback and, on the last trip, a group of transient orcas.
CAPT Leon was the consumate professional in his handling of the Princess Monterey and the crew was fantastic also.
Katherine was great. Her knowledge of the area's marine ecology is extensive and her enthusiasm was infectious - I don't know how she maintains that level of energy and humor. Kudos on finding her.
You have a well led, professional group and if the opportunity arises we definitely intend to be repeat customers. Thanks again for a great ride.
Sincerely,
The Goddards, Fayetteville NC
PS - You allowed my wife to pick out a hat on our last day and she also decided not to take our camera - both as "good luck". On that day we saw the transient orcas. We had a different marine biologist that day. I apologize for not remembering her name, but I noticed that she was taking pictures. I would like to inquire if it would be possible to get any copies of the files (if she was using a digital camera) or if there is anyway of getting access to pictures from that day (5 April). If so please let me know how to do so and if there are any associated charges. THANKS!!!

Subject: March 17th - 2:30 PM cruise
Hello Benji,
I just wanted to send you an email to let you know about a recent
experience
my wife and I had on one of your whale watching cruises. My wife and I
were
fortunate enough to be on your 2:30 PM cruise on March 17, 2007. It was a
pretty gray day, not a lot of sun but the naturalist on your boat was
great.
I believe that her name was Katherine. She was very enthusiastic and full
of information.
We had to go out pretty far to get to the whales that day but once we got
there boy was it worth the wait! We've been on a few whale watch cruises
in
the Monterey Bay, Hawaii and Alaska but nothing compared to yours.
Usually,
if you find whales it's within that first 30-45 minutes. On this day
though
we seemed to be out of luck, after about an hour and 45 minutes it looked
like a dry day, no whales. That's when we got lucky. Two (2) Humpback
whales were spotted and what a show it turned out to be!!! They were
breeching, flipper slapping and doing handstands . . . it was just a great
sight to see!
I happen to do professional photography so I had some of my better gear
with
me. I captured quite a few very clear images of these two whales
breeching
and riding on their backs with their flippers in the air and lots of big
splashes. I've included a few of the shots for you to see here in this
email. These were all shot in hi-res format but I reduced them so it
doesn't blow up your email. If you ever need a photographer to capture
what
your company provides your customers just let me know. As far as we are
concerned you run the best whale watching cruise in the Pacific. We've
already been telling all our friends about our great day on the bay and we
are dropping the Monterey Whale Watching name in every conversation.
In all seriousness, if you ever need a photographer give me a call. I'm
just down the coast in Morgan Hill.
Thanks again for a great day!

Subject: Whale Watching
Hello Monty!
This is Susan and Brie's Friend Cassandra who went Whale Watching on Tuesday. I
just wanted to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for getting my Grandparents and myself
on a boat. We had a WONDERFUL time and got sprayed by a whale, which was
awesome! :) My Grandpa had never seen the Pacific, never seen a whale, and had
never been on a boat until Tuesday so the trip was really exciting for him.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! :)
Thanks again!
:) Cassandra
